Kitsap County was formed in 1857 and was named after Chief Kitsap of the Suquamish Tribe.
Kitsap’s Native American, Scandinavian, military and pioneer attractions are all within an hour’s drive, and Seattle is a ferry ride away. Our area offers an abundance of activities with beaches and trails, golf clubs, water sports, award-winning breweries and restaurants, delightful shops, and much more.
