Silverdale Whaling Days is a festival celebrated every July. People come together for a parade, a fireworks show, street vendors, and even a duck race. There’s also the nearby Kitsap Fair and Stampede, which has been happening since 1923. This event is a community highlight, and families from the surrounding area make a point to attend this family-friendly fair. Additionally, the Farmers Market provides Silverdale with fresh local produce for their pantries, running from April through September.
 
Silverdale’s central location on the Kitsap Peninsula makes it ideal for experiencing incredible outdoor recreation. The Dyes Inlet provides access to watersports, while the surrounding area has many areas suitable for exploring nature. Silverdale also has some incredible parks.
